Italian sport,
properly discovered.

We search beyond the obvious names to find independent Italian sporting brands with something worth preserving — craftsmanship, character, performance and provenance.

01
CSI Padel

Independent Italian padel, introduced properly.

CSI Padel will focus on selected Italian rackets, bags, accessories and apparel that are not already everywhere in Britain. The route to market is deliberately hands-on: demo products, coaches, clubs, players and honest feedback before scale.

02
CSI Football

Performance. Heritage. Bespoke.

CSI Football is being built around lesser-known Italian boot makers and specialist manufacturers. We will distinguish between performance boots for today's player, heritage products with genuine provenance, and a bespoke niche for individually made Italian footwear.

03
CSI Cycling

The next chapter, deliberately curated.

CSI Cycling will come later and stay selective: Italian apparel, footwear and accessories where craftsmanship, technical quality and design genuinely justify the product. We will not add cycling simply to fill a category.

We are not interested in carrying everything. We are interested in finding the things worth knowing about.
An independent sporting house

Provenance before volume.

Club Sport Italia exists to bring a different side of Italian sport to Britain: family workshops, specialist manufacturers, emerging performance brands and products whose value begins long before they reach a checkout.

I.
Independent makers

We look beyond the familiar names and seek businesses with their own identity and manufacturing story.

II.
Italian provenance

Heritage only matters when it is real. We want to understand who makes a product, where and why.

III.
Performance tested

Beautiful stories do not excuse mediocre products. Equipment still has to earn its place.

IV.
Built with clubs

Coaches, players and independent clubs should be part of how products are discovered, tested and sold.

Our Story

Built from sport.
Shaped by Italy.

Club Sport Italia grew from decades of football, cycling and padel, and from a belief that the best sporting products often come with a story worth knowing.

Born and raised on the Fylde Coast in North West England, in an Italian family with roots in Sicily and Naples, sport was part of everyday life. Cold rain, sea wind, frosty winter pitches and hard games taught a simple lesson early: good kit has to work, and people have to earn trust.

That British sporting toughness mixed with an Italian appreciation for detail, craft and identity. Over time, football led to Italian workshops, padel opened another sporting world in Madrid, and cycling in the Dolomites showed how deeply local makers and clubs can shape a sport.

1974THE BEGINNING

The Fylde Coast. Football. The first obsession.

Growing up on the Fylde Coast in an Italian family meant football was part of everyday life. Matches, boots, shirts and the rituals around the game were never just entertainment; they were identity.

North West football also meant winter. Wet grass, wind off the Irish Sea, cold hands, heavy pitches and games where nobody cared about excuses. It created a respect for products that genuinely perform and for people who prove themselves over time.

“I was already noticing the things that would matter later: quality, identity and belonging.”

1994THE DISCOVERY

Bologna. A workshop. A revelation.

A detour through Bologna changed the way sporting footwear was viewed. Wooden lasts lined the walls, leather offcuts sat on benches and craftsmen worked with a level of care rarely seen in mass-market product.

A pair of boots tried inside the workshop felt close, light and flexible in a way that was completely different from anything bought in Britain. That experience created a lasting interest in the people behind a product, not merely the logo on it.

“I had never worn a boot that fit like this.”

CHELSEA FCSPORT & RELATIONSHIPS

Stamford Bridge. Sport opens doors.

Between the Bologna discovery and the arrival of padel came another reminder of how sport creates relationships. Through business at the time, Vito was invited to Chelsea Football Club and had the opportunity to meet members of the first-team environment, including a player and the manager.

The business being discussed then was wine rather than sports equipment, but the experience reinforced something that would later become central to Club Sport Italia: good commercial relationships begin with people, trust and shared interests — not simply a product catalogue.

“The product may change. The importance of relationships never does.”

2008A NEW SPORT

Madrid. Glass courts. Padel arrives.

In 2008 padel was still largely unknown in Britain. In Madrid it was already embedded in sporting life — competitive, social and immediately accessible.

The appeal was obvious. It had the same ingredients that make football powerful: community, identity and equipment that matters to the experience.

2014THE DOLOMITES

The Dolomites. Italian cycling.

A cycling trip through the Dolomites brought another part of the picture into focus. Local riders wore kit shaped by specialist suppliers and by the demands of the mountains themselves.

The products were not simply good-looking; they were built around real riders and real clubs. That made it clear that Club Sport Italia could eventually become more than football.

“By day three I had bought a Veneto club jersey. I’ve barely worn anything else on a bike since.”

2016THE COMMUNITY

The idea moves beyond product.

By 2016 the focus had widened. The opportunity was not simply to sell Italian sports products; it was to build relationships with clubs, players and communities that shared the same values.

The philosophy remains simple: meet people properly, understand their club or business, and only then talk about partnership, product or commercial opportunity.

FOUNDING RELATIONSHIPS

Built through people, not just products.

The relationships behind Club Sport Italia matter as much as what is sold. Clubs, partners and makers are approached personally, with trust and fit coming before commercial conversations.

Today the purpose is clear: bring together football, padel and cycling through carefully selected products, strong club relationships and a genuinely Italian approach to sporting culture.

The CSI Standard

Not every brand becomes CSI.

Being Italian is not enough. A maker that wants to be represented or sold through Club Sport Italia must prove that the product, the people and the story deserve to sit under the CSI name.

01

Heritage

A genuine story worth telling — real roots, real people and a connection to sport.

02

Artisan craft

Quality materials, proven techniques and attention to detail. Craftsmanship must be visible in the product.

03

Performance

Heritage cannot excuse a poor product. Equipment must perform in the real world and stand up to player testing.

04

Independence

We favour independent makers and family businesses with their own identity — not anonymous mass production dressed up as heritage.

05

Italian origin

Claims about where and how something is made must be verifiable. Provenance has to mean something.

06

Integrity

Quality, honesty and respect in how a company treats customers, partners, workers and its own name.

Try it. Play it. Then decide.

For lesser-known brands, trust is earned in the real world. CSI is building relationships with padel clubs, football coaches, players and independent retailers so products can be experienced rather than simply advertised.
